This sterling silver & spiny oyster ring was recently obtained from a Gallup, New Mexico pawn shop and was originally created by Albert Cleveland, a very talented Navajo artist who uses traditional Native American symbols and stampwork in his designs. The ring has an "old pawn antique" finish. There is a lovely polished oval of red Spiny Oyster, set in plain deep bezel, with big raindrop sterling silver beads on either side. 1/2-inch wide scalloped silver band with detailed stamp work, completes the piece.
The face of the ring measures 1-7/8" long and the ring weighs 12 grams. Size 8. Hallmarked Sterling and "AC", for Albert Cleveland. Excellent condition, like new. This is a true dead pawn item obtained from a real New Mexico pawn shop. The exact age of the ring is unknown.
