Native American Dead Pawn Spiny Oyster Silver Ring Sz5-3/4

Dead Pawn Native American handcrafted silver ring with rectangular cut piece of Spiny Oyster. Plain silver setting. 5/8" long by 1/2". Unknown artist. Size 5-3/4 Item# 1651

$ 39.99     Available: 1     Back

This Dead Pawn Native American handcrafted Spiny Oyster & sterling silver ring was recently obtained from my favorite little pawn shop in Gallup, New Mexico. The jewelry from this pawn shop was pawned by Native Americans living in the local area. Gallup is the "pawn capital" of the Southwest, close to the Navajo and Zuni reservations.

The face of the ring measures 5/8" long by 1/2". Band is 3/16" wide. Weighs 7 grams. Size 5-3/4. The ring is unsigned & unmarked for silver content, but tests positive as coin silver or better.

This is an actual dead pawn item obtained from a real New Mexico pawn shop. The exact age of the ring is unknown. This particular pawn shop honors the privacy rights of their Native American clients by not transferring the actual tickets to buyers when pieces are purchased out  of pawn.
