$ 325.00     Available: 1     Back

This top-quality contemporary multigem inlaid sterling silver bear pendant was created by reknown Navajo artist, Jimmy Poyer. The pendant is impeccably inlaid with turquoise, spiny oyster and black jet. The bear measures 1-5/8" long from tip of nose to tip of tail and 1-3/8" tall, not including the silver bail. Includes fancy (non-Indian made) 20" sterling silver chain as shown.

Jimmy Poyer was born in 1954 close to Mexican Water, Arizona and was raised near Red Mesa, south of the Four Corners. His traditional Navajo family upbringing gave him a strong sense of values. Although there is great demand for his pieces, Poyer has resisted the temptation to set up a shop with other people producing his work. Likewise, he does not cast the silver and gold for his designs. Instead, Poyer builds every piece by hand from sheet silver, wire and natural stones.
