Mary Tafoya creates unique contemporary works of art. Her colorful abstract jewelry has become a favorite of many Native American jewelry lovers. This necklace combines two types of Mary's mosaic techniques: one that consists of tiles glued to each other so that all sides exhibit the same pattern, like the two side pieces on the necklace, and the other consisting of mosaic tiles inlaid on a shell or stone foundation, like the main centerpiece.
The necklace measures about 31"end to end, not counting the centerpiece and 11" long from the back of the neck to the bottom of the centerpiece. This necklace is a masterpiece of inlay work and handmade heishi beads. Please note: natural matrix spots exists in the stones and are not cracks or chips.
The necklace is shown with a pair of matching hand made mosaic inlaid earrings, that can be purchased for an additional charge during checkout. The earrings measure 1-1/4" long, not counting the earwires.
