Dennis and Nancy Edaakie have been among the most celebrated of all the fine Zuni artists. Dennis and Nancy are best known for their inlaid bird and koshare clown jewelry. They have won many prizes and awards and their work can be seen in many prestigious Native American jewelry collections as well as all the best Zuni jewelry collecting guides.

Unfortunately, Dennis passed away in early 2008. Nancy and one of her sons (Sanford) have resumed making the traditional Edaakie designs using Nancy's new hallmark.

This absolutely stunning hinged three section 18" long necklace features a detailed and colorful hummingbird and flower scene, bordered with Sleeping Beauty turquoise inlays. The inlaid hummingbird has etched wing and tail feathers. The inlay consist of Mother of pearl, abalone, Mediterranean coral and Acoma black jet. The detail work on this necklace is incredible and impeccable!

The center section measures about 1-3/4" by 1-1/8" and the two side sections are 2" by 7/8". There are 6" link chains on either side.

Brand new and in perfect condition. Gift box and Certificate of Authenticity included. Signed Nancy Edaakie on the back of the center section.
