Navajo ~ Alex Sanchez ~ Turquoise Coral Sterling Silver Petroglyph Necklace

MUSEUM QUALITY ~ STERLING SILVER TURQUOISE PETROGLYPH GRANDMA NECKLACE with TURQUOISE & CORAL by Navajo artist, Alex Sanchez. Authentic Native American handmade. Item# 1675

$ 1599.99     Available: 1     Back

We're excited to be able to offer this award winning museum quality necklace from the amazing Navajo artist Alex Sanchez. This necklace features the stunning silver work that has become the hallmark of Alex's work. The necklace was created in his petroglyph style - heavy, textured, oxidized sterling silver decorated with all kinds of the applied silver symbols: healing hands, bears, turtles, dragonflies, and curli-q's.

The center piece of the necklace is a detachable Grandma pin/pendant. Grandma's head is a large turquoise stone with reddish-brown matrix and she is wearing a squash blossom necklace. Grandma can be detached from the necklace and worn as a pendant or a pin. (The large bale is also detachable). She measures 4-1/8" long without the bale and weighs 57.6 grams.

There are 4 petroglygh covered side pieces connected with a heavy hand made silver link chain. The necklace measures about 22" around and then the Grandma piece adds another 4" down. There's also a coral accent on one side of the chain and Alex's signature bear at the back of the neck. Like all of Alex's work, the reverse side of the necklace is decorated with hand stamped designs.

Brand new in perfect condition. Created by Alex Sanchez and his hallmark is stamped on every section of the necklace. Certificate of Authenticity included. Alex is the younger brother of Myron Panteah. He's relatively new to the Native American jewelry scene, but he is the winner of several awards for his innovative one of a kind designs and his work has caught the attention of collectors everywhere.. Don't miss out on this piece of beautiful, award-winning jewelry.
